About the Mentorship

The intention of this mentorship is to awaken students to their spiritual gifts and offer tools for enhancing the medicine that lies within them. Every individual on this planet carries a unique soul signature that holds a very important resonance. Cultivating one’s own resonance is an essential way that we are doing our due diligence in showing up authentically to deeper forms of service needed in the world. This service inherently begins with self-awareness, personal healing, and building right relation with the Earth and its stewards.

During my years of practicing as a curandera and facilitator in ceremonial space, I have seen countless souls begin awakening to their gifts. Usually, this unfolds with a mixture of excitement, confusion, deep inner-knowing, and also doubt. Folks continuously come to me asking for guidance on what exactly is happening to them, and more importantly, where they can get started with exploring these gifts in a safe and integral way. My first words of guidance always point to grounding into a Life which Honors the Medicine Path. Rather than rush ahead in a disembodied state, it is crucial to slow down, ground, and begin to learn with patience and presence.

Witnessing this awakening process in others time and time again led me into a deep, year-long process of creating this mentorship program, which is meant to be a guidance system into the exploration of Earth-based practices; to allow the inner voice to be expressed in the form of prayer. The foundation of the Intikhana Mentorship is meant to instill a sense of integrity within the ever-expanding popularity of Indigenous practices, and to bring forward principles that call for respect and reverence in walking the Medicine Path.

The Intikhana Mentorship is an opportunity for you to explore your inner medicine; to step into it and allow your path to unfold naturally from the lectures and exercises. Please note that this offering is not an initiation into serving entheogenic medicines of any kind; rather, it is a prism of using the path of curanderismo to inform about the energetics of ceremonial space. This educational way can be used in application to further develop individual practices as well as to begin understanding these methods of energetic work. This mentorship is prohibited from being used to falsely validate any kind of initiation into serving medicine.

To further ensure the integrity of this container of teaching, students are expected to fully honor the process of receiving this information, without wanting to intentionally (or unintentionally) fast track a path that takes years of study.

THIS MENTORSHIP IS NOT:

  • This mentorship is not an initiation into working with plant medicines, animal medicines, or entheogens of any kind. Stepping into serving medicines should never be sought out by taking an online course.
  • This mentorship is not a substitute for in-person studies or personal ceremonial healing which requires years of dedicated work to a medicine path under the guidance of elders/teachers.

  • This mentorship does not include one-on-one teaching directly with me. The information provided through the Kajabi platform requires self-accountability in moving through the modules. Each student must take ownership over their education in completing the lectures and course material.

  • This mentorship is not a path for teaching others how to be like me. Every student is expected to show up authentically to who they are and ready to explore their own uniqueness more fully.

  • This mentorship does not include business consultations or information about the backend workings of my offerings.

 ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Daniela Riojas is a curandera, educator, medicine keeper, musician, and artist originally from the frontera of Tejas y Mexico, currently based in Tulum, MX, traveling internationally. Her Indigenous ancestry is connected to The Coahuiltecans of northern Mexico. As a curandera, she communes with Mother Nature and a lexicon of plants, animals, and energies through ancestral practices of channeling and meditation. She has undergone extensive trainings and Master Plant dietas with Indigenous elders who have initiated her into the sacred practice of facilitation and healing in ceremonial space.

She has been under the guidance of elders in Nayarit Mexico (Richie and Xochitl of Nawake Bucerias) as well as elders and curandero/as of the jungles of Peru who are Cocama (Gran Maestra Aime Vargas Davila), Shipibo (Maestra Bawan Kate), Ashaninka (Maestro Miguel Charini) and Mestizo (Maestro Camarampi Shirampa). For years, Daniela has been traveling extensively throughout North and South America facilitating plant and animal medicines, and creating ceremonial healing spaces for communities in diverse countries and lands.

Her facilitation consists of sharing traditional and directly received icaros through her diets with Master Plants, within the lineage of Cocama curanderismo. Within this practice is a weaving of Quechua and Spanish icaro and medicine as well. Daniela’s voice carries a high vibration of divine love, joy, and nurturing Mother energy, while bridging the worlds of the Earth’s deep resonance. She calls on a wide spectrum of Earth’s cosmology and higher dimensional spaces, with the clear intention of maintaining a balance of strength, groundedness, and elevation. A variety of instruments are utilized including, shakapa, crystal bowls alongside icaro, Native American flutes, clay ocarinas, and medicine songs with a team of trusted facilitators. She also utilizes tobacco in the form of sopla extensively and a variety of specially prepared perfumes and agua floridas within ceremonial space.

Daniela Riojas is the founder of Intikhana Medicina, which provides ceremonial healing rooted in Indigenous and Earth-Based practices. The mission at Intikhana is to provide gateways of health and well-being through Indigenous knowledge, plants, animals, music, frequencies, education, and connection to all of the medicine that this beautiful Mother Earth provides. Intikhana Medicina specializes in providing containers of integrity and safety for comprehensive ceremonial healing.

Guest Instructor Maestro Kike Pinto Cárdenas

Announcing a new guest instructor for this cohort. Such an honor to have Maestro Kike Pinto Cárdenas to bestow his ancestral wisdom and musical transmissions.

»»««

Kike Pinto Cárdenas is a master musician, composer, and cultural guardian of Andean and Amazonian traditions. Born in Lima, Peru in 1956, Kike has spent over 50 years immersed in the spiritual and musical lifeways of Indigenous communities across the Andes and the Amazon. From early childhood, he was drawn to music as a form of connection with the Earth, and has since studied with the Q’ero Nation, the Community of San Pedro de Casta, and Amazonian elders—learning to compose and sing traditional ceremonial songs (ikaros) rooted in sacred plant medicine and ancestral wisdom. Kike’s teachings bridge the worlds of sound, spirit, and ceremony. His music is not performance—it is prayer, memory, and medicine.

He is the founder and director of the TAKI Museum, Peru’s first and only museum dedicated to native Andean and Amazonian instruments, and a pioneer in preserving the cultural and ritual contexts of traditional music.

Guest Instructor

Gran Maestra Curandera Aime Vargas Davila

Gran Maestra Curandera Aime will be sharing her wisdom and teachings as a Guest Instructor for one of the mentorship calls. See call schedule above.

»»««

Gran Maestra Curandera Aime carries the Amazonian Cocama tradition of curanderismo that deserves patience and a humbled heart in order to traverse. Her medicine embodies the pure essence of the jungle. Her spirits and vast intelligence touch the soul and heart much too profound to describe. She sings potent medicine songs in plant healing ceremonies called icaros. These songs carry the essence of the medicine, of mother nature and of pure healing.
